HBAL President Bob Thieneman Jr. share about Building Industry recovery with Wave 3 News

Home Builders Association of Louisville 2013 President Bob Thieneman, Jr. was interviewed yesterday by Wave 3 News about changes in the building industry since the financial collapse five years ago. As a result of the downturn in the economy the building industry business in Louisville was down roughly 80% from its peak. However, since approximately December 2011 building permits have been increasing and a return to a new normal in this new economy is being realized within the industry. As Thieneman stated in the interview, “confidence is coming back.” Permits are expected to be up approximately 40% in 2013 over the 1394 permits in a five-county area in 2012. “Within the past six months, builders have begun to feel comfortable enough that (the recovery) is here to stay,” stated Thieneman
