The Building Industry Charitable Foundation of the Home Builders Association of Louisville in conjunction with the Home Builders Association of Southern Indiana and the Indiana Builders Association donated $10,000 today to Habitat for Humanity of Indiana. The money is the first donation toward the Habitat rebuilding project in Henryville, IN which will consist a total of 20 newly built homes in tornado-devastated areas in Indiana. Ten homes will be built for victims of the recent events in the Twin Oaks neighborhood in Henryville during a building blitz scheduled for the second week of September.
The Building Industry Charitable Foundation was pleased to be able to help our neighbors in need. “The mission of BICF is to integrate the charitable needs of our community with the philanthropic goals of the Home Builders Association of Louisville,” explained Davis Boland, chairmen of the Building Industry Charitable Foundation. “Raising money for this cause and being able to donate it to such an outstanding organization that will be able to quickly build homes and return some sense of normal back into the lives of affected neighbors completely fulfills our goals as a Foundation and makes us so happy that we are able to help in this relatively small way.”
The Henryville Habitat Project is now looking for volunteers, partners and anyone who may be interested in helping with this project. If you would like to continue to help with this project please visit the Habitat for Humanity of Indiana site by clicking here.
