Homearama 2014 on the Cutting Edge of Sustainable Development

The Homearama site in the Shakes Run neighborhood is pioneering practices for sustainable development techniques, paving the way for the future of land development. Homearama 2014 is being developed on the banks of Shakes Run Creek and is utilizing the existing flow of the land to treat the vast majority of storm water drainage naturally, using drainage systems called “bioswales” in lieu of traditional storm sewers.
