Homearama Kicks Off This Weekend at Norton Commons and River Crest

Homearama, the annual showcase of custom-built homes produced by the Building Industry Association of Greater Louisville since 1968, kicks off this Friday, July 16th and runs through Saturday, July 31st at Norton Commons in northeast Jefferson County and River Crest in Mt. Washington. This year is trending to be one of the most well attended Homearamas yet! Record-shattering early demand for tickets has already outpaced past years.

Historically low interest rates paired with the value of buying a Homearama home and Homearama’s reputation for debuting the latest in building and design trends are just a few reasons why tens of thousands of people will attend the event. Builders often receive the latest upgrades at a discount price from suppliers and vendors to display the newest in flooring, fixtures, lighting, design options and much more! Attendees not only tour these beautiful homes, they can also speak to the builder, interior designer and various other professionals who were a part of creating the showcase homes in two sought after communities in Greater Louisville.

Whether you’re looking for design ideas for your current home or looking to build a new home, there’s something for everyone at Homearama!

Norton Commons

Homearama in Norton Commons takes place in the North Village, which is slated to be one of the largest geothermal communities in the US. All 25 Norton Commons homes are equipped with the state-of-the-art technology eliminating the need for outdoor air conditioning units and reduces noise, while increasing areas for residents to enjoy the outdoors. Geothermal also provides significant energy cost savings for homeowners.

River Crest

River Crest is the first development in the history of Homearama to be located in Mt. Washington. While just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Louisville, the peaceful setting is easily accessible from Interstate 65 and the Gene Snyder Freeway. River Crest makes its Homearama debut with nine homes on display in the Central Park section, where the lots all face the tree lined park. River Crest amenities will include walking trails, a future playground, splash park, swimming pool and clubhouse.
