LOUISVILLE, KY – JULY 6, 2016 – Homearama at Norton Commons and River Crest runs July 16 through July 31. This year the custom-built new home tour will showcase over 30 homes located in Norton Commons and River Crest – two sought after communities in the Greater Louisville area. Homearama attendees can expect the homes to feature the latest in building and design trends, unique finishes, luxurious outdoor living spaces, increased energy efficiency and much more. Whether you’re looking for design ideas for your current home or looking to build a new home, there’s something for everyone at Homearama!
The BIA anticipates record-breaking attendance in light of pent up demand in the new home market. Pat Durham Executive Vice President of the Building Industry Association of Greater Louisville (BIA) commented, “Mortgage interest rates are still in the historical all time low category, and the existing home inventory is extremely sparse. These two factors generally bode well for new construction home sales. Add that to the fact that these showcase homes are located in fabulous neighborhoods, we fully expect the homes to be very popular among the buying public. In fact, both Homearama sites have nearly half of the homes already sold! We caution the attendees of Homearama to be very careful, you may end up buying one of these exciting new homes!”
Homearama is an annual event in Greater Louisville and has been locally produced by the BIA since 1968. “Some people attend the yearly show for design ideas, while others are shopping for their next home,” stated Homearama Show Producer Gail Schell. “There truly is something for everyone because Homearama it is like 10 shows in one. You can shop for your outdoor dreamscape, your next color of cabinetry, flooring and fixtures – it’s all here!”
