The Kentucky Water Resources Research Institute, funded by the Kentucky Division of Water is conducting the final phase of its work as part of the Floyds Fork Stakeholder Engagement Project.
There will be three meetings (see details below) where citizens can attend and SCORE each of the suggested strategies for nutrient management which are being considered as potential components of a plan for the Floyds Fork Watershed. For a list and description of strategies being considered, click here.
It is extremely important that you attend ONE of the three meeting opportunities below. This is our industry’s opportunity to share our thoughts about viable strategies for nutrient management in the Floyds Fork watershed. The outcomes of this project and the report which it will derive will be given to the KY Division of Water to help inform future decisions about watershed management in Floyds Fork.
This project is separate from the existing Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) work that is being conducted in this watershed; however, it is our belief that these results could be considered as the final TMDL report is being developed.
