Move Louisville is a long range strategic multi-modal planning effort that grew out of the Vision Louisville process. Move Louisville, which began in November 2013 with public participation and work with consultant Nelson Nygaard, considers travel by foot, bicycle, transit, paratransit, and automobile. During the past year public input about transportation projects has been collected by the consultant. Nelson Nygaard also conducted a review of various transportation projects identified by KIPDA, as well as those outlined within neighborhood plans for the community. Through a community input process, as well as the review of related data, the consultant identified seven goals for Louisville, as well as a vision for our future as it relates to transportation. There are now three lists of projects that have been identified and are in a public comment period until October 31, 2014. There are Bike/Pedestrian Projects, Road Projects, and Transit Projects. The public can comment about which projects should be a priority for the city in the future. Please review and think about the ways in which your business operates and how these potential projects might affect you and your business.
