  • Health Insurance: The BIA is a member of several group insurance plans which offer quality health insurance for members and their employees at costs that are normally well below market rates.
  • Workers Compensation: The BIA is also a member of the AGC-SIF, a Workers Compensation self-insured fund. For nearly all members, the savings by using this program easily pays annual dues.
  • Liability and General Business Insurance: The BIA also participates in several other insurance plans including General Liability, Business Insurance and a Retirement program.
  • Networking: BIA events and meetings provide you perfect opportunity to make valuable contacts and keep abreast of the latest changes within the building industry.
  • Educational Programs: Through the BIA’s valuable educational programs, members have the opportunity to stay ahead of their competition by staying informed about industry issues.
  • Contracts: The Association provides construction and purchase contracts and remodeling contracts for use solely by Registered Builders or Remodeler Council members for a small fee. The BIA also provides copies of the limited warranty leaflet, which builders and remodelers must provide to their customers.
  • Member Decals: Shows your professional membership, ideal for use on company vehicles, on signage or at a place of business. Also available are slicks of the BIA logos, which can be used on letterheads, business cards and advertising.
  • Advertising: Advertising opportunities are available in BIA’s monthly newsletter, the Membership Directory, the Homearama Plansbook and the “Louisville Builder,” all of which are distributed to every BIA member.
  • Legislative Affairs and Services: Legislation on the local, state and national levels, regarding the home building industry is closely monitored. BIA works closely with HBAK and NAHB as your watchdog and advocate.
  • Public Relations: The Association works through the local media to promote the image of our members and of our industry while creation awareness of the impact of our members and the industry.
  • Special Events: High-impact events such as the Home, Garden & Remodeling Show, Homearama, the Tour of Remodeled Homes and The Tour of New Homes allow our members to promote the industry.
  • Directory: As a member, you receive a membership directory when you join BIA. This directory is an extensive list of all BIA members and has become the “who’s who” of the local homebuilding industry.
