A recent news article published on DSNews.com entitled, “Shrinking Supply of Distressed Homes Makes Room for Homebuilding” states that across the US there are fewer distressed sales occurring which creates opportunity for new home sales. According to the article, the supply of distressed sales in September were the lowest in five years, while new home starts in the same month were up 15%. The reports also states that the forecasted figures for new home starts in 2012 look to be on track and that projections for 2013 and 2014 could need to be increased.
